Before you make a reservation, please read carefully the rules of the catacombs.
Groups that visit the catacombs can celebrate Holy Mass or have a moment of communal prayer by making an explicit request at the time of booking the tour.
At the catacombs, there are four underground crypts and two chapels above ground that are available for liturgical celebrations.
The underground crypts, without chairs, have a maximum capacity of 50 persons.
The chapels above ground have 100 seats.
During the COVID-19 pandemic:
a) prayer services cannot be held in the underground crypts
b) the chapels above ground have 30 seats.
It is recommended that priests bring their own alb and stole.
The following are available at the catacombs: hosts, wine, chalices, and a photocopy of the text of the Holy Mass for Martyrs (ordinary, proper, readings) in English, French, German, Italian, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, and Spanish.
For organization purposes, liturgical celebrations in the catacombs should not take more than 30 minutes. For a longer celebration, please make an explicit request.
In order to celebrate in the crypts/chapels of the catacombs, it is necessary to begin the guided tour no later than 11:00 in the morning and 15:30 in the afternoon.
